Little Light – A Poem

You got this little light,
Not bright,
Not white.
You don’t shine like they do.
You’re more of a little ball of blue.
Little light.
Little light.
In a room full of candles,
Your color glows.
While they’re wonder grows.
They don’t understand your hue.
Where does it come from,
How does it burn so blue?
But all the while,
While they’re wondering,
None of them can melt quite the same as you.
And when they try to change you, and rearrange your colors.
Don’t lose your light,
Keep burning,
Keep purring
with all your might.
Nothing is wrong with your sight
Because they don’t understand your fight.
So dance above the tip,
Crack your wick.
Little light,
Little light,
Stay true,
Stay blue.
