Moonlight Song – A Lyrical Poem

image

Don’t give up.

The moon will do you right.

if you close your eyes

you can see that side.
Spinning in the air,
Paper cranes,

Want to meet you there.

Fingertips glue the words,

Nothing fits in lips of hers.
By the time your blood turns blue,
Summer will come,
Calling for you.

The moon will do you right,
Shadow words through the night.

A dark spot away from life.
To make it some day,
Front facing your way.
Follow the chasing light,
The moon will do you right.

Stuck inside this room,

Tunnel visions swallow you.
The beat in repeat,
Songs they sing about main street.
So, sun hit me down
Warming up, come around,
Light rolling down the lane,

Crash into day.

Follow your way.

The moon will do you right,
The fuel to spark the light.
The direction you have to hike
Through the jungles of the twilight.
You’ll meet him some day,
When god’s got pockets,
He can pay.
Follow the light,
You know,
The moon will do you right.
